About the Artist: Christian Kent is a twenty-two year old contemporary painter. He started his studio practice in Buffalo New York. Christian came to New York when he was twenty. Working out of his small studio in Ridgewood Bk, Christian is interested in communicating a refined compistion with surreal narratives.    

From the Artist: 

As a legally colorblind artist, this piece was an exercise in using muted tones, a divergence from my normal use of full contrast colors. This piece, a contemporary study of a portrait, is highlighting a conflict in tradition and modernity through themes of fashion."
