The piece is an interpretation of a Edgar Degas pastel drawing of a woman bathing. He created this piece in 2017 under the instruction of Deborah Winiarski at the Art Student's League of New York. At this point he was attempting to repurpose rare classics into modern form, so that a modern generation could fall back in love with old masters.
