PUMA has teamed up with the Lower East Side creative outpost LAAMS to serve up a unique rendition of the PUMA Suede, embodying the spirit of encouraging creatives to pursue their craft in any medium they choose.
On August 3rd, from 12pm-8pm
LAAMS will be hosting a workshop,
where customers can have an artist customize
their sneakers live.

Hailing from the Bronx and representing Nueva York, Loso is bringing a fresh look to streetwear and sports. His hand-embroidered, sashiko-inspired custom headwear has been spotted on some of the biggest names in music and culture.
Taira Rice is a self-taught artist from Harlem, New York ; Through her art she aims to represent intimacy, confidence, and duality within the context of being a queer Black Woman. Perched in the intersection between voyeurism and casual nudity, she examines our different ways of being within the mundane moments of life; allowing you to gaze at fleeting scenes that unveil flashes of unassuming sexuality.
Homesick is an artist, born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Giovanni Cardenales, also known as Bxlyfe, is a highly esteemed Puerto Rican photographer originating from the Bronx, New York. He intricately combines mixed media elements, seamlessly blending fire, paint, and other materials to create entirely new worlds.
OMI, better knows as STFU is a New York based artist. He’s most notable for outstanding work throughout the underground community alongside his major contributions in main stream media with a focus on large scale muraling. His style ranges various mediums such as airbrush, spray painting and 3D modeling. OMI’s signature style juxtaposes realism with hyper-surreal overlays.
A Human Swiss Army Knife , Toolz as the name suggests, is a crafty self taught Dominican creative adept at various art forms such as sewing/embroidery, Painting, Tufting, Embossing, Graphic Design, DTF Printing and Stencil making which all gets incorporated into his own brand “DAH” aka Deadass Happy
Rossana Romero is a Colombian artist based in New York, known for her artwork that blends elements of surrealism, memory, and mythology
The Suede LAAMS ‘Blank Canvas’ is a DIY-inspired, double-layered shoe offering a customizable and artistic experience. Part artwork, part sneaker, the “Blank Canvas” Suede features a removable top layer of canvas on the upper, which can be peeled away to reveal green fuzzy suede beneath. This collaboration comes with the instruction to “Wear them into the ground,” encouraging wearers to create a unique, one-of-a-kind expression through their journey with these special Suedes.
In addition to the tearaway canvas upper and hairy suede base layer, the PUMA x LAAMS Suede is packed with details like fuzzy laces, silver lace jewels reading “PUMA” and “LAAMS,” and even a map of Manhattan’s Lower East Side that appears on the shoe’s outsole. The distinctive version of the Suede also comes with special packaging, including a printed tote bag & ‘box-top’ canvas
The PUMA x LAAMS Suede is available starting August 3, 2024, at LAAMS and selected PUMA retailers worldwide.
