For our next installment, we showcase New York graffiti writer HOMESICK.
Homesick brings his tags, posters, and imagery into LAAMS, presenting an installation that recreates a map of the city.
Homesick’s work is rooted in experiences of gentrification, displacement, and community memory. His handstyles and rollers have become emblems of a city in transition, an expression of both loss and resistance.
The installation takes over the LAAMS' wall as part of our "Please Post Bills" series, transforming classic green Post No Bills plywood into a surface of voices, flyers, and a gallery for artists. Alongside the work are posters, prints, and writings by Homesick, sharing personal insight into the struggles and stories behind the name.

HOMESICK IS A GRAFFITI WRITER AND ARTIST FROM WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN, WHOSE WORK HAS BECOME A RECOGNIZABLE PRESENCE ACROSS NEW YORK CITY.
GROWING UP IN A NEIGHBORHOOD TRANSFORMED BY RAPID GENTRIFICATION, HOMESICK’S EARLY EXPERIENCES OF EVICTION AND DISPLACEMENT SHAPED THE FOUNDATION OF HIS ART.
