LAAMS 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION

LAAMS 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION

For our 5-year anniversary, LAAMS tapped five of our people to design a collaborative shirt. Artists include Snoeman, Hidji, Chucky's Play, Amani Heywood, and Joe Ro.

The collection is available in store Saturday 7/19/25 at 2pm, and online Monday 7/21/25 at 12pm.

Hidji for LAAMS
Hidji

A longtime friend and collaborator of LAAMS, Hidji was part of LAAMS before it even had a name. Hidji was tapped to paint our first-ever storefront for the opening in 2020. In our first few years, Hidji's paintings were a constant on our art wall.

His artistic style has always been in a class of its own, and the past five years have only amplified that. He's been traveling around the world shooting music videos and directing for your favorite rappers. The artwork from his t-shirt design was painted a week before we opened on the original LAAMS bench that lived outside the shop for the first few years.

Snoeman for LAAMS
Snoeman

Snoeman is a New York City based artist. He works in a wide range of mediums with a focus on aerosol murals and mixed media paintings.

Inspired by the city, he has become known for his vibrant and uplifting storefront murals and paintings of quintessential New York people, places, and things. He has been an artist his entire life and has worked as an aerosol mural artist for over twenty years.

Introduced to us by Hidji during the painting of our inaugural storefront in 2020, Snoeman's artwork became ubiquitous with the shop. We did our first drop with Snoeman a few weeks after we opened. Since then, Snoeman's paintings could always be found on our walls, and many of Snoe's paintings have found a home through LAAMS.

Joero for LAAMS
Joero

Joe Ro is an artist, publisher, and photographer. Aside from living in the darkroom, he also serves as the creative director of LAAMS. He did his first ever exhibition at the shop in 2020, and LAAMS has been his home base to show his work ever since.

As one of the founders of LAAMS, Joe Ro was involved from day zero, before we even had a location. When the LAAMS concept began to gain momentum and become a real possibility, Joe was there for every variation of where we might do it, what we might call it, what we would sell, who we would host, and every other great or bad idea in between. Joe and Stevie were the first two in the building and are responsible for building LAAMS into what it is today.

Amani Heywood for LAAMS
Amani Heywood

Amani Heywood is a Bronx-born, Trinidadian-American abstract expressionist known for his large-scale, emotionally charged paintings. Amani was part of LAAMS' very first pop-up shop alongside DOS Global.

When he officially joined the LAAMS staff, he was making clothes. He did his first exhibition at LAAMS, and over the past few years his style has evolved, always showing his new work through the shop, and now around the world.

Chucky for LAAMS
Chucky

Chucky has been part of LAAMS since before he was old enough to drink. Early in the shop's life, our longtime friend and collaborator Loso brought him by to grab a Snoeman fitted we had in stock.

Right away, his style, presence, and skills—with a can, brush, or pen—stood out. He's been family ever since. For his collab shirt, his drawing was executed with only a blue Bic pen.

Chuck's been a presence in fashion through his modeling but we're most excited for the world to see his art throughout this upcoming year.
